Clinton Clark is an award-winning composer and studio musician with professional experience in film scoring and custom music beds for nationally touring planetarium projects, such as "Voyager the Cosmic Nomad" and "Where Time Began." We are located in Minneapolis and our services include original music and synchronized scoring for films, games, podcasts, webinars, audiobooks (long and short format), software apps, TV commercials, radio commercials, gymnastics performances, PowerPoint presentations and other media presentation formats.
If you are looking for music engraving and music notation, we offer this music preparation service as well; using the latest version of Dorico by Steinberg. Here are some examples. Dorico can import MIDI and MusicXML files (including exports from Sibelius, Finale and most DAWs).
. . . recognized by the Television Academy in the category of "Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Programming."
What We Do That Makes a Difference
All of the visual movements in a scene (walking, hand gestures, head turns, transitions, etc) contribute to a rhythmical pattern. We tap into this pattern and translate it into a tempo map so that the music fits the scene like a glove. We do the same for audiobooks, using the narration performance.
This is the first art of film scoring and transforms, what appears to be a set of songs, into a synchronized score. Approaching the music in this way allows the film director all the freedom they need to edit in a way that best tells the story; then the music is rhythmically and texturally designed to fit that story.

I thought making an eight-minute film scoring tutorial out of my experience with scoring a HitRecord community-project film would be helpful to those wanting to learn how to score films or animations. The same process can be used to score the narration track for an audiobook.
If you are a film director that is new to film scoring, this will be helpful to you as well. Having your film scored really brings the story to life. Contact us today for details - info@pianonanny.com
If you wanted to get a head start identifying the cues in your film, game or audiobook project, we have developed a handy Spotting Notes Template that you can download (PDF - 152 KB).
Your Film Score (PDF - 139 KB) is a helpful single page guide that we have developed for those who are new to the process of Film and Video Game Scoring.
